Adding MOD's to ARK Print

  • 2

Click Add / Remove Mods Button :)

There are two way of setting up mods.

The EASY WAY

Have a look at this example by adding the following.
-automanagedmods?GameModIds=1134724238,880871931
To your CUSTPARAM1 and restarting your server.

This will download the Mods, the "Loading" process can take a while depending on the speed of the steam servers.

The Alternate Way (Because the easy way sometimes fails) Stupid Developers.

Edit your \ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsServer\Game.ini file and add.

[ModInstaller]
ModIDS=895711211
ModIDS=764755314
ModIDS=731604991
ModIDS=679529026

The HARD WAY

We do not support you with the install of MOD's on any of our servers. We do supply you with everything you need to install them and have them running.

However we will go out of our way to give you some basic information to get them running from the time this article is published.

Choose what mod ID you are going to install. For example. 535821068

Edit your command line CUSTPARAM1 and add the following to it. ?GameModIds=535821068 (With the ? Mark at the start)

Log into FileZilla Client and Copy your local computers Mod files 535821068.mod to your servers directory \ShooterGame\Content\Mods\

Your server should now have a 535821068.mod files here \ShooterGame\Content\Mods\

If you want to add more mods. Add more to your commandline ?GameModIds=535821068,123456789,987654321 and upload your 123456789.mod 987654321.mod files.

Restart your server and hope all goes well.

After getting endless questions about mods not working. This has nothing to do with our hosting. You have all the tools avaliable to you.

So I quote this reply, which will answer your question on why Mods are not working.

Taken from this hot topic.
https://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/483368526590008871/

The problem here is you and your mods. The rest of us that run vanilla will be unaffected. When you install mods on a game, you lose all official support, you're on your own, and if stuff breaks then it's your own problem. No one can help you with that. And if updates break your custom setup, then that's something you and you alone have to figure out.
